Usually, at the end of the first day of the Grassroots Political Activist conference, the entire group goes out to dinner somewhere.  Typically, the restaurant is unique in some way.  This year, somehow, the trainers were able to get the GPA’s into the Governor’s Mansion for dinner.  The food was excellent, there was a tour of the mansion, and our guest speaker of the evening was Sheila Simon, the Democrat candidate for Lt. Governor.  In fact, Sheila sat at JJ’s table!  It was a fun and interesting night as the GPAs talked with Sheila one by one and with each other.  There’s been a lot of excitement in Springfield as we head into the election season!
