Harper College Adjunct Faculty Association

Tuesday, October 4 is the day on which members of the adjunct faculty unit and the separate adjunct faculty librarian/counselor unit can vote on authorizing a formal merger of the two groups into one organization.  A “yes” vote is encouraged.  A majority of those voting from both groups must approve the unification.  Since our initial contracts, HCAFA has represented both units, but HCAFA has had to represent them separately in negotiations.  If there is a merger, HCAFA will be able to represent all adjuncts at the same time.  

The polls will be open on Tuesday, October 4 from 12:00 to 5:00 in room F164 in the library.  Please contact your Division Representative if you have a question, but be sure to cast your vote in this momentous election.  Your yes vote will allow us to negotiate your next contract more effectively.
